The Nou Mestalla is making progress on the construction of the main roof structure

Work is progressing on the assembly of the roof’s compression and tension rings, key structural elements of the project

The construction of Nou Mestalla continues to move forward according to schedule, with its opening planned for summer 2027.

As of today, significant progress can already be seen on what will become the new home of Valencia fans, with the installation of 30 pillars and 21 compression rings.

Currently, Valencia CF, together with FCC Construcción, is working on assembling the roof structure. The companies Horta Coslada and PFEIFER are developing the support structure (“bird’s nests” on each pillar to allow cable tensioning, scaffolding, and stand protections) for the large roof, which will weigh 4,800 tons and be supported by 50 S355 steel pillars. It will also serve as a hub for green energy thanks to the implementation of a photovoltaic installation by Octopus Energy – Sustainable Founding Partner.

In recent weeks, major progress has been made with the assembly of compression rings, the installation of more pillars and stair towers, as well as the arrival of cables that form the tension rings (the inner part of the roof’s cable structure) and the radial cables (which connect the tension ring to the outer compression ring).

Nou Mestalla will be one of the most sustainable, cutting-edge, and innovative sports infrastructures in Spain.
